Needs and Acoustic Challenges

Hotel common areas are complex acoustic volumes with varying densities and usage scenarios at different times of the day. In such venues, the homogeneous distribution of background music and announcements is a critical engineering requirement for guest comfort. In hotel lobbies and corridors with high ceilings or reflective surfaces, the primary objective is to maintain speech intelligibility and control reverberation. While ensuring an uninterrupted and balanced sound pressure level, the system must also be in visual harmony with the interior architecture to preserve the integrity of the hotel concept.

Applied Solution

Within the scope of the project, a sound infrastructure optimized for common areas was designed by analyzing the interior architectural dynamics and acoustic profile of the venue. As the system component, the Ecler hi-end ceiling speaker system, which offers premium audio quality, was selected. These devices were strategically placed on the ceiling plan to provide a wide frequency response and homogeneous sound distribution. Through the integration of the Ecler system, an engineering solution that maximizes acoustic efficiency without disrupting architectural aesthetics was implemented.

Results

As a result of the applied engineering solution, the targeted homogeneous sound distribution and high speech intelligibility in the hotel's common areas have been secured. The hi-end audio performance provided by the Ecler system has created a balanced acoustic atmosphere that supports the guest experience, achieving a stable auditory standard suitable for the venue's prestige while preserving architectural integrity.
