Needs and Acoustic Challenges
Open-air entertainment venues with a beach club concept are specific acoustic spaces directly affected by environmental noise factors and harsh weather conditions. In such projects, providing clear auditory transmission by overcoming natural masking sounds like wind and sea waves is the primary engineering problem. Sound energy must be directed to the audience area without loss in wide open spaces, and distortion must be prevented even at high sound pressure levels. Furthermore, the equipment used must demonstrate structural durability against corrosive outdoor conditions such as sea salt, humidity, and sunlight.
Applied Solution
In the Scorpios Beach Club project, a custom electroacoustic design was realized for the listening zones by modeling the acoustic propagation characteristics of the open area. Celto Acoustique iFIX series speakers, which offer high resistance to outdoor conditions and provide powerful sound projection, were utilized in the system infrastructure. These devices were positioned at precise angles to minimize the negative effects of environmental factors. Thanks to the directivity control offered by the Celto Acoustique iFIX series, an engineering solution meeting acoustic efficiency criteria was established.
Results
Through the realized system integration, an uninterrupted, dynamic, and high-resolution sound coverage area has been achieved in the wide open spaces of Scorpios Beach Club. Thanks to the outdoor durability of the Celto Acoustique equipment, a long-lasting infrastructure has been established, and a distortion-free auditory performance has been secured even at high sound pressure levels, supporting the venue's entertainment standards.
